Dan Doden, LPC
I’m Dan Doden. I have been in the Mental Health and AODA field for 28 years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I provide psychotherapy for individuals and couples. I also have extensive experience doing group work. I have discovered that other significant people in client’s lives can also be included in the therapy producing an even more powerful effect when indicated.
I have worked in inpatient mental health settings, outpatient therapy in the Madison, Monroe and Janesville areas, and done extensive work in the corrections area. I have a certification working in the area of domestic violence and am a certified sex offender treatment professional.
My approach consists of a conglomeration of theories woven into my personal style that has evolved over the years; with the diverse settings and experiences I’ve had I am confident I can be of tremendous benefit to clients with issues ranging from adjustment disorders to chronic mental illness.
Areas of particular interest include anger management, impulse control, domestic violence and addictive disorders and how those issues are often seen together; depression and anxiety; the effects of trauma and abuse; men’s issues and pain management, among others.
